I have no idea of the rental market in that area, as it is far from Austin - there is no way to cross the Colorado river, no ferry system, it's 30min to Cedar Park on small roads, and 1hr to downtown Austin, one way.

If you are interested in short-term-rentals, make sure your property is properly zoned for it.

Do have definite plans, or are you open to ideas?

Hey Rodolfo, I did something similar while living in Troy, MI.We moved there in 2017 and paid $460k for our house did a bunch of work to force some equity and then pulled a HELOC of $130k.Then I went into Detroit proper and started buying houses all-cash and doing cosmetic rehabs, refinancing out, paying the HELOC back, rinse/repeat.That's different than what you're describing but also similar.

My initial idea to out of state investing is because I’m in San Diego and the housing market here is just crazy right now.

Not really sure as I am just playing out with this idea and the tech is out of my wheel house. 

Now I am realizing there are too many of them for me to personally execute on, but I also hate the idea of wasted opportunities.How does an experienced investors actually scale their operations besides just hiring VAs?
