Maybe I'm just in sensory overload from all the reading I've been doing, but where can I go to get a real (and in simple English) step-by-step guide that would help me get started?

I've read about 15 books on these topics, including Brandon's guide to rental property investing, have been asking endless questions and am now looking to get into the market with my first purchase.

@James SchoenI'd suggest starting with the Ultimate Beginner's Guide to figure out exactly what kind of investing you want to do.https://www.biggerpockets.com/real-estate-investin...Once you know what you want to do (meaning you chose ONE strategy), then listen to BP podcasts where that investing strategy is the subject. 

However many of the guides on here have helped me immensely, and I went under contract on my first property last week.
