I downloaded the RI book - definitely a good place to start but also definitely dry!!!

Then, download the BiggerPockets Ultimate Beginner's Guide and start reading some more!!

I downloaded every episode, read all the blogs, scoured the forums, used all the free tools and anything else I could leverage from this amazing site.
