Evaluate your financial position and obligations.  

I'll hit two things real quick and hopefully they help.

The basics are I would rent a number of units from the syndication LLC, would be responsible for management and expenses (ie utilities), and then I would keep a portion of the profit (basically my upside for managing the mid term rental units) and the other portion of the profit would go to the syndication LLC which now gets over market rent.

My advice for you is to spend time learning about the real estate market and know your investment strategy. 

I'm also considering having them review the lender agreement forms before signing and securing the loan.

One of them interestingly accept agents to park their license and pay a monthly fee, no need to have affiliation with board and still keep mls membership.
