Urgent Advice needed - should I keep the inspection or not

The property has the following points in the public records:- Mold - no report- foundation issue - no report- cut out and treated wet sheet rock - no report- basement was cleaned anti microbial - no report- City assessment : 498kwhen I saw the property with my realtor we noticed that in the 1st unit which is a finished basement - I was able to see that they cut the wall and it smells pretty bad (like mold).

If it's going to be a gut project you have less unforeseens with a fire damaged brownstone because of how they were built (2-3 layers brick thick and hand laid stone foundations).

Where and how to start investing from overseas?

We're overseas (Japan) and will be here for a couple more years and would like for now to be the time to start building a foundation for when we get out of the military in 2017.
