i still work full time. is anyone here planning on going to the REIA on the 20th at third space coffee?

a bit tardy in posting a greeting...apologies.i'm keith "sage" ottman, fairly new to re investing, but want to make the switch ultimately from small business owner (specialty coffee shop, raleigh, nc) to full time investor.my interests include finding a deal, and then being able to best identify its higher and better purpose regarding the transaction.

If this is a typical 15-20 year old cabin with central heat and air, with a wood burning fireplace, and I want to provide basics like soaps, coffee, kitchen/cooking supplies, is there an average or a percentage to calculate these expenses?

Much like how people down here worked in Orange County but moved out to Riverside/Corona where prices were cheaper.I'd be happy to get together some day for lunch or coffee to connect for a bit.

It was a 20 minute conversation over coffee, mostly talking baseball.By not offering savers any yield, the commercial lenders and banks that offer them are shooting themselves in the foot and I am 'occupying' this movement by getting rid of all of them and their petty requirements from my portfolio.

I will upgrade the homes with college kids in mind by adding fun stuff like games in the garage, gym equipment, coffee stations, etc. all to try and bring in tenants.
