@Shane H. most billboard companies do not build the structure, nor maintain it, nor do they finance it. $10000 a year rents worth about $70000 loan amount.

It's 5x the cost of a standard thermostat, it's more complex to set up and maintain, it's harder to transition to the next renter, and it's more likely to break.Sometimes dumber is better.
