I'm hoping some active PMs who manage vacation rentals for investors can shed some light on this.  

If you're going to owner occupy then you're counting on appreciation, and future cash flow when you vacate and decide to rent it out.

Each of us owns a house in cash, plus a house with a mortgage (1 in Denver, 3 in LA area), plus a huge mansion in Hawaii worth about $6mil (no mortgage) that belonged to the deceased that we vacation rent out for a very tidy sum.

Hi Friends,I am attempting to get financing for a condotel (to use as a short term vacation rental) in Mammoth Lakes, California.

Willard, raise your right hand and repeat after me:  "I will NEVER close on another property until it is completely vacated or I have approved and accepted the tenants."  

I just closed on my first rental properties and served a tenant a 30 day notice to vacate the unit by July 1.

@Brent CoombsHey Brent ,Yes I like the BRRR strategy and have plenty of good information to validate it. my significant other had a great experience with on a vacation rental and Has a very strong belief in it.
