Real estate investment is a stable way to increase income after a while.

Nothing else screams more evidently stable, passive and simple like that. 

It's a pretty stable and lucrative niche when done right.

They seem to be slowly but surely growing and offer stable employment.

Jobs are coming into our area at a great rate, with shipping, warehouse, and other labor related fields that would create a stable landlord tenant environment. 

The value for real estate property tends to be more stable and grows over time.

Upcoming or just a stable market ?

Probably the biggest thing I'd want to be answered is whether there is a great property manager in place that is handling the property, as being out of state, you are going to be at the mercy of your property manager and need to know that they are on top of it and stable.

Nor am I interested in debating the finer points of why liberal democratic governments (or any large entity, private or public) have immense trouble providing stable affordable housing to the poor.
