Rich Dad Poor Dad was a good book for me, along with Start with Why by Simon Sinek. 

Real estate investing is not a get rich quick scheme, but rather an established path to gain wealth over a long period of time. 

I've always read up on RE investing, like a lot of people I read Rich Dad Poor Dad and even experimented with flipping raw land for a bit.

I'm a web designer and after reading Rich Dad Poor Dad, I made an S-corp and funnel most of my expenses through my business like he says in the book but now my income looks like I only make ~$32k a year.

I’m not getting rich off that extra $400/month, but I’ve got tenants paying down my three new 15 year mortgages, and now I’ve got four properties appreciating 5-10%/year vs just one.

I am not interested in this as a get rich quick scheme so I will be focusing on buy and hold rental properties that can ride out volatile markets like we are in right now.This year has made it nearly impossible to network with people in person so I am hoping this forum can help.
