It's a great time to be a builder and a great time to be an investor as well!

There may be some incentives for small contractors or builders or owners, but these are all over the place without any large scale strategy, example of this is the solar energy use in houses/real estate.

Secondly, banks want you to work with builders through the entire process eliminating your ability to subcontract aspects yourself to save money.

There is still a decent amount of land and builders are constructing several master-planned neighborhoods in these areas.

Is it a good/possible investment to buy land in Austin, and do a lot of paperwork to get it approved for building and sell it to a builder?
