I'm currently exporting my leads to have my first post cards sent out, and when they go out I plan on cold calling a sampling of them. 

What is their response when you tell them that usually i imagine they would be okay with it but im sure you get some cold shoulders as with anything dealing with ppl i suppose

Depending on the list, the primary ways to do this are Direct Mail or cold calling.So if you are asking questions like this you are on the right track, but I would recommend you do a ton of research in a diligent, calculated manner until you have a marketing and business plan established.

Now that you're in the "has done an IRRRL" databases, all these random cold calls you will get making mention of them being from the "special veterans benefit department" (I get the same calls) are actually just VA IRRRL churners, and when I say "you're wasting your time, I'm a mortgage broker," they just keep reading their script.

I have personally seen success in sending letters (handwritten cards), making cold calls, and knocking on doors.

I am an agent and do a lot of cold calling (most people hate to do it lol).

If I scrapped the list I lose money and opportunity and experience, cold calling scares the ever living love out of me.

I hate to say it, but nobody is thinking of moving between Thanksgiving and Christmas in a cold climate state.
