If I was you I would get David Greene's book on BRRRR, it is fantastic and I have learned A LOT!

Build a fence that is as tall as my house on my side of the property line facing their house of something solid - concrete block perhaps, with rebar reinforcement, or similar - and then screen off your side of it completely with some tall greenery such as Emerald Arborvitae or Thuja Green Giant.

I'm very green with all of the so please excuse the obvious questions, I'm learning something new everyday.In terms of short-term rentals, I will see if that might be feasible for us as I have not considered it 'til now.
