Now this timeshare development was never developed fully, only maybe 20 percent because the original developer went belly up. ..there were too many timeshares in this area for the market. The developer who bought the unsold timeshares at the tax auction donated the weeks for a tax right off.

I run a couple of corporate rentals and was told that Georgia law states I can only have 2 people in a one bedroom apartment but that was for long term leases. Is there a law that states I can have up to 4 people if it is short term (less than 2 weeks majority of the time)

I'm working as an Insights Strategist during the day, putting in a few hours of marketing consulting work on the side during the week, and studying up on real estate investing on the weekends (and whatever time I have left over during the week).Having worked in the finance industry for the last couple years, I became increasingly aware of different types of investing vehicles, but never really considered real estate investing until I moved to Miami this last July.

They acknowledged that I had a perfect pymt record on other properties but it still had to be cleared by their “investigations unit”. 2 weeks later they finally turned it on.You might consider looking for properties that are just cosmetically inferior......e g lots of big flowery wallpaper, pink tiles in the bathroom, etc.

New investor plans (Thoughts?)

My friend's family is poor but I'm planning on helping him fix that with our business ;)We live in the Daytona Beach area in Florida which as many people know is where the NASCAR Daytona 500 is held along with Bike Week so the housing market is ridiculous here (in a good way)We're thinking since we are both going to stay with our parents well into our 20's we should make our first investment on a duplex so we'll have a great financial boost from 2 units funding us.I just want some opinions from experienced investors on how they feel about this plan.
