Because it is newer construction you should be looking at some life left in all of the systems of the house and a building that is up to much more modern codes than in my area.You're breaking even or better when you live there and then will be seeing a 100% ROI every year after. . . seems like a clear yes to me!

We removed the popcorn from the ceiling, painted, replaced cabinet fronts, and replaced the flooring with LVP throughout the whole space to give it a more modern feel.

The whole shipping container housing thing is more of a marketing, gimmicky thing, an architectually modern look....not necessarily a cost saving construction method.$1800 for a 40’ container is definitely a used container, and not likely in very good shape....you’d want new containers, “one trippers”.
