PLEASE don't take this as Gospel, but I'm guessing that any fairly well thought-out paragraph or two will "fill the bucket".

By far the best introduction to real estate syndication investing - but it also has a lot of technical information and is a huge help in learning how to screen sponsors and analyze deals. 

I understand the idea that it's about knowing the specifics of your market, but does anyone have any resources that are good introductions that can help provide detail on estimating home values in general concepts?
