Best resources to learn how to value homes? (theory, not specifics)

Michael Devinsky
Posted

Hi I'm entirely new to this field and interested in learning more about rehabbing and flipping, but first I wanted to learn how to estimate home value.  I understand the idea that it's about knowing the specifics of your market, but does anyone have any resources that are good introductions that can help provide detail on estimating home values in general concepts?

Courses? Books? Podcasts? Anything people got good value out of with regards to estimating a homes sale value.

@Michael Devinsky with residential SFH it's all about recent comparable sales, but there are more general guidelines rather than hard rules, so it becomes somewhat subjective. There was a good episode of BP On The Market about comping, it aired April 27th
