Joseph, to help boost your new business you might consider purchasing a mailing list of homeowners in your target area and mailing a 4x6 postcard with your info and handyman tasks you can do.

As a completely non-technical task, you can certainly get some day labor; rent a truck; and supervise the operation to clean it out for far, far, less.

If a task or repair comes up, and I don't have the tool that is needed, or one that could be used to get the job done, I usually buy it if it is less than $100.

I'm going to request a copy of the full report soon but I haven't heard any update from the lenders on the applications yet, so I'm waiting for them to call, in case they're busy with other tasks, I don't want to burden them since it's mostly curiosity.
