Be humble enough to partner with one of them if it assures your success with the deal. 

Another company said they could help us with a fix and hold, but, after assuring us there weren't any additional fees.... tried to "fee" us to death.

I can assure you though, that some of the young guys on BP really know what they are talking about, especially when discussing their hyper local markets.

We haven't used him yet but as soon as I have one I can assure you we will be. 

I became inspired to do REI shortly before leaving the states but now I am about 6 months away from where I want to begin my investing.What can I do to build myself as an REI even from afar (besides just study and research, I have been doing plenty of that I can assure you!) 

Also how can I assure all taxes are accounted for?

One is that I stopped listening to what others assured me was true decades ago and focused on what made sense.
