Kids know your business by watching you, and they are soaking up everything that happens, and becoming a veterinarian or a ballerina can be a far better fantasy than fixing up old houses like dad did.

We're living in and renovating one unit while renting out the other.That said, I thought the market was too hot last year, but I think we're in complete fantasy land now.

Parents want to see that you put in the time and effort, considered the possibilities, and are dealing with reality and not fantasy.

Hi Craig and Drew,I own 10 units in the Greenville area and can attest to the strength of the market here for good quality rentals - whether that's 3/2/2 family homes in good high school districts (think football!)

@Jason HirkoFirst off I wish 9/9 was only 4 weeks away since that would mean football season is only 4 weeks away !

This is a good thing as it kills two birds with one stone: 1) it gives you a chance to practice your chops without worry of loosing a deal  2) eliminating people with fantasy land expectations continually dials your list in tighter.

I'm even threatening to take up football fandom!

real estate is NOT all wine and roses.. and it can suck as bad as a day job.... not sure what this FANTASY about how this industry is easy and you can get rich..
