it's out of the questions becaise it's not a cement foundation like texas. we have basements in each house. also, people are not used to tiles except bath and kitchen.i am handy and was considering doing it myself, but never done it. looks easy on TV (but what doesn't??).

I use an 18 X 18 earthtone tile (easy to install on cement foundation) which only costs me $0.92 per sq. ft for the tile material, plus install as well as the minor costs of grout and thin set.

You need connectors and a crimper (pex), PVC cement and a saw or cutter (PVC), or joints, solder, a torch, flux, sandpaper and brushes (copper).

Almost every basement floor here has mold/cupping/rippling unless it is cement or tile.
