The people already living there and unemployed has gone down by 30 BP.I'm no nobel laureate but I am seeing a lot of new people from the northeast and students staying after school ends, so this makes sense to me.

I don't have any experience with investing in student areas, but that would be another angle to check out.Do your homework and get realistic rental numbers before buying anything - that's true of anywhere, but I would think especially in Spokane because until recently, home ownership was so affordable, that renting wasn't a desirable option for most people (except students as I mentioned), leaving a potentially small tenant pool.
