After college, my roommate and I started purchasing multifamily property here in Columbus.

Long story short, the heat went out on the first floor last night (was about 12-15 degrees).

If this is a college rental, I would look into letting the tenants splitting the bills.

Anecdotal (and CoStar, to some degree) data indicates downtown - and East Village in particular - is overbuilt on the Class A high end for rental product.

I am 6 months into my first job out of college and she has told me I must wait another 6 months (a full calendar year) into my new job to apply for a conventional loan because that will be the best option due to my credit, how much money, I want to out down (can put down), and doing my best to avoid PMI. 

It is a college town and presents some new opportunities.
