@Lance ConyersIf you can use a 401k participant loan to accomplish what you want, that is generally considered the less aggressive approach compared to taking a taxable distribution, especially if you are not yet 59.5 or older.

I know that Colorado is a beautiful place, but I find it amazing that you can grow, sell and use drugs legally that are illegal under federal law, and Denver allows the use of psilocybin mushrooms which can be quite dangerous, yet renting out a house by the day or week is a felony.
