I think it’s time for something new.

Howdy, James Doughty here, from the beautiful coast of Maine. I just celebrated my 40th and have decided to give real estate investing a go. I’ve spent my whole life living from paycheck to paycheck, punching that time clock day after day... with nothing to show for it. It’s time that it all changed!!

For now my plan is to keep working the same day job I’m at, but start buying a couple rentals. I plan to stay close to where I live because I’m going to manage them myself. I may even do a couple flips if the deal is right.

This is all new to me, and I really wish I had heard of this 15 or 20 years ago.... these forums have so much info in them, the good the bad and the ugly of real estate all rolled into one neat little package.

Well enough rambling, back to learning I go
