Hey @Ronald Rohde...we spent around $1550 per door last year to install the system, and there is a $20 monthly monitoring fee on those three doors (the building will logically need internet service as well for the monitoring needs).  

I live and work in Northern NJ and from monitoring the auction lists, I'm not seeing much of an increase.

It is a single family so you could stipulate that aside from the infrastructure the tenants are on their own.

As @Sheryl Sitman also suggested, I'm trying to get out there more often to monitor my own contractors work.

I'm getting closer and closer to putting in a submetering system for electricity, though I see there are systems that monitor both power and water.

I do have to monitor to make sure they mow.
