One of my favorite types of properties to buy is one that has had a couple of full-on renovations back in the 70s or 80s, as the cosmetics are usually completely shot by that point but a lot of the systems were upgraded at that point - 200 amp panels, copper or pvc water lines, pvc sewer, older/dead central HVAC, etc.
