Therefore the owner is the Landlord as he/she is Lord of the Land.

This land lording does not come natural for me!

Totally understand that she may just be "testing" her new land lord, but want to be sure we cover all the bases professionally. 

It is a tough thing all around to discern how to honor the Lord Most High when dealing with folks who seem content to run from ruinous misconduct to ruinous misconduct (like burying your head in the sand and letting an eviction happen).The poor will always be among us, yet we are called to love . . . specifically the alien, orphan, and widow.Those who don't work should not eat, yet we have all received abundantly more and better than we deserve (through Christ).Ours is indeed a faith of tensions and you do well to consider how to honor the different sides of the tension in your landlording.Keep it up!

Both are land lord friendly, low taxes, increasing rents and great upside.

I've been doing some research on land lord friendly states where the cost of entry into an investment property is relatively low (I live in NYC so I'm comparing prices to my local market).

I have since bought Brandon's books on rental property investing as well as the book on land lording. 

With time everything will fall into place as long as you treat Land lording as a business!
