Our transient career has actually turned into a great way to grow in the real estate world.

I enjoy quilting in the winter, and playing on the beach with my family and friends the rest of the year.Real estate is a new career path for me, which I am really excited about.

Even though the financials make tons of sense we can barely keep up with 3 kids and 2 careers.

@Vince FutiaDepending on the type of building you have, and local laws, you can look into doing data/telecommunications antenna lease to a communications company, since bandwidth is needed more and more. 

I'm currently a 20 year career firefighter in the Sacramento area and hold the rank as Captain/paramedic.

So what most people see is a job that will pay them well until they retire in 30 years, I see a job that will jump start my career in real estate and get me out of the 9-5 cycle that so many of us seem to be stuck in.
