I find screening and vacancy to be less of a problem here than surrounding areas such as rex.

With that price range you will have access to many areas with Austin proper, not to mention surrounding suburbs as well.  

I think @Danny Webber hit the nail on the head that the easy money is on surrounding markets.

I will accept no less than $5 million of assets under management by this date which will create a minimum of $25,000 of cash flow each month.My plan is to start exploring the metropolitan areas surrounding Boise Idaho and Spokane Washington.  

I’d like to stay close to South Boston, I’ve been looking at properties in Dorchester and parts of Roxbury just to see what’s out there but I’m also willing to look at properties a bit further away from the city in Quincy and surrounding areas. 

If you charge for it, your rental has to rent for more than surrounding (non-HOA) properties.  

Although I live in Raleigh I’m always on the hunt for more opportunities in the Asheville and surrounding area.

We are looking all over Lex and surrounding counties currently.

I would imagine a Zillow add would have had double the responses, based on normal CL vs Zillow adds on my SF rentals.Here are the rough #s:Land: 50 independent lots valued at about $500kWater sewer hookup fees: 500KRoads + Infrastructure: $750kTotal all in to get infrastructure ready: 1.75m for 50 lots on water/sewer...Then to roll the trailers in for rent/sale....Definitely a need for more affordable housing in the market, but just not sure if its a build it and they will come scenario....and how long to unload trailers vs. rentals  

The areas will be Durham, Raleigh NC and the surrounding areas.
