I wanted to treat it more professionally, at least from a documentation perspective.

If a home will be vacant for a long time during winter it is wise to have a professional "winterize" the home with water shut-offs, blowing air through the pipes, and antifreeze added to all the drains.Hope that helps you and others in the future.

(This may be because my professional background is in teaching.)My short term goal is to wholesale and/or rehab in order to pay off student loans that have been around for too long and to build a bigger savings.

Hello All, I've been a full-time IT professional for 17+ years.

We've installed and finished our own hardwood flooring but decided having that professionally installed and finished is money well spent.

In all my circle of professionals none of them claim to have seen it or even to know a colleague who's seen it.

For example, maybe the property is pretty rural so it has a high protection class, or maybe it has a woodstove that wasn't professionally installed - but I did it, and I'm sure I know what I'm doing.
