Then I would like at some point in the future make the first home I buy a full rental, and purchase another and continue like that unit another strategy/opportunity comes along.

I have a solid background in Excel and VBA which helped me analyze my first house hack and I've continued to keep reading books and listening to podcasts. 

Are there any common strategies to continue to build your portfolio?

I think South Florida is a strong market and think there is potential for continued growth in the area.

I also have a desire to set up a better future for my son than if I continue to work an hourly wage for pittance while CEOs get multiple million dollar annual salaries.
