Hello BP Community!

My name is Bob Manning and I'm an aspiring REI from NJ.

Like many others here, I read Rich Dad Poor Dad. That book blew my mind and my thinking about life and work has changed.

I’m currently a medical device distributor in the NJ spine market. While it’s a great career and I make a nice living, it’s a young man’s game and I know this ride won’t last forever.

I love the idea of making passive income and getting to financial independence. Who doesn’t I guess?

I’m going to focus my efforts on small 2-4 unit multi family properties  and go from there.  I own my home and have a substantial amount of equity in it. I never thought about home equity like I do now after read RDPD and from here on BP. Good stuff!

My goals are to:

- Complete my first deal before the end of 2018

- Take @Brandon Turner surfing here in NJ

- Use stack method to grow my portfolio

- Own one storage facility in my lifetime

I’m looking to make friends and partnerships here. I’m looking forward to giving it back when I become a seasoned veteran hopefully sooner than later.

Thank you BP!

Bob Manning

@Bob Manning Welcome to BP community! You've come to the right place to learn and ask questions. In terms of your investing strategy, I'd recommend to stick to one. Once you progress in it, add another one and continue learning. Also, diversification is a must. This may entail investing actively and passively, investing in multiple states, and/or investing in various types of RE assets.

If I can help in any way, feel free to reach out.

Best of luck!
