I don't think you can exclude a child based on age.

There is nothing in the world that can put a fire in you like looking into your child's eyes and knowing that they trust you to step up for them!

So much for that...One thing: I did call American express who are questioning the near $800 charge for the rental, and that might very well be my best course forward.
