@Ashley Burks I have only made called about a couple houses this way but the second one is an older lady that ownes a house in the town I live and she it talking with her son to see if they want to sell.

A lot of young ladies these days don't expect a giant massive rock and aren't in a super duper rush to get hitched.Other than that, I'd point out to you that a diamond big enough to keep her dry when it rains will likely cost a lot more than roof big enough to keep her dry when it rains...

Weird thing is that I have quite the local reputation for being a pretty cut-throat landlord not afraid to send non-curable 30-day notices, evicting old ladies (with significant lease violations) in the middle of Covid and garnishing wages.

Probably the best way to find a handyman or lady is to attend some of the local meetups and ask around in person there.
