I'm taking a big leap and switching careers in my 40's from Nursing to Real Estate Investing and I'm just beginning this process.

interested in amassing a sizeable real estate portfolio over the long term to both supplement my career income and provide for retirement.

So the program is not intended for heavier fixers.We also had to demonstrate with a letter from our command that we had steady future income, so it is more difficult (but not impossible) at the very end of a career.

reguardless of their career paths         Sean I do get your point about the Old Town Orono area  But that area is just not for me .

If you think college is not necessary, how could I go about starting my real estate career?

The downside is that I did spend a year or so in analysis paralysis land several years ago when I made my first attempt to get my investing career off the ground.
