I call it the "garage sale" mentality.

Basically the collective mentality makes it hard to make decisions, raise rent etc.

This is to insure that we are all on the same page and they are properly equipped mentally. 

My question: is buying a single condo unit in Chicago a financially sound decision that fits into the BRRR mentality, or should I continue saving and renting until I can buy an entire building?

I do not think our mortgage coordinator even saw that in the appraisal because he didn’t say anything at all ( he’s getting married this weekend, so I think he’s mentally checked out).  

He came up with some that were out of my price range (Fitchburg/Madison area is very expensive -- $250k around here is on the low end for C class with problem tenants).In late September/early October he finally came up with a guy who was somewhat motivated (enough, anyway)  to sell--he had just got a promotion, just had a second kid, just didn't wanna deal with the property anymore.

This is a mentality that people have had since the 1940's!

The problem I had, was it took 3 months instead of the 30 days they promoted and the fees (8K) were ridiculous.

Success in business requires a great mental outlook and mindset.
