I am impartial if these tenants stay due to multiple facets of this property and the situation as a whole.The short answer is: Yes, the age does matter.If this turned into a legal fight and you claimed the tenant owed you $200 for a replacement top that doesn't exist for a stove that is 15 years old, you'll get thrown out on your ear.

And yes he has the right to do so and if you defy all he needs is a court order, or he just tacks on the violations so now you don't have a clear title to close.Or..... if he's really having a bad day, like he and his wife had a fight or something, he can just Red Tag the job and shut it down.

If they can easily make life 10x easier, and are willing to do it, then don't try to swim upstream and fight the current just to prove how independent you are.You may be able to find a local credit union or something that is willing to overlook the 2yr income rule, but honestly if the parents are willing to co-sign, then just do that.

@Anna Flores its not worth it to fight to replace all the blinds. just eat the cost and let that be a lesson dont put blinds in a rental. they will always get ruined.
