I get the concept of analysis paralysis - but maybe it is 'analysis-not-making-sense-icus"... to invent a new term.I think beginners need to realize that the real estate market is cyclic.  3-5 years ago both properties and money were cheap.

You can't ask them ahead of time, because it would be the same thing as asking them if they have a disability.I suggest reading up on the emotional support dog laws.

I am not a big fan of this unless you can earn good money on the cash you pull out; and it makes things a bit illiquid.Conversely... paying off a real estate loan feels good, but at the same time getting cash out of a house that is paid for is not necessarily hard but can be a pain.At times I suggest that people run parallel for a bit... have your cash sitting somewhere earning 5-6% and have your loan charging you 5-6% (or less or more, I know, but...).

Chances are, the living arrangements and property use is not as it was supposed to be.If the money is good, set a lease with extra provisions for the dope house cleanup when the tenant leaves.You can't charge for the plants, but you can charge for uncommon use of the property.
