New paint , new floors, the bathrooms need new tile, new floors, new cabinets.

My favorite is when you drop a tool/plywood/whatever into a hole in dry wall trying to fix it and then you have to make the hole bigger to get it back out.I've also managed to drop a screw driver into the back of a garage concrete had just been spread in, about 5 feet below the floor of the house.

When we did the clean up of the house after her departure, we discovered she had kept a cat in the house in direct violation of our No Pets Policy and had extensively pock marked the newly refinished wood floors with her stiletto heel shoes.

Lights, appliances, and furnace all worked, good neutral paint, tile on first floor, carpet upstairs; couldn't test the plumbing since the water is turned off. 

No one on here is going to know what fixtures you're looking at.What is the current flooring? 

Functional or location obsolescence (crummy floor plans, no property access, etc) or war zones.

Also, you'll want to stay away from turning it into a "weird" floor plan with a bedroom in the garage if it doesn't flow well.

My grandma suggested I move in the 2nd floor and pay rent - the place is very big for me so she tells me I can rent the two extra bedrooms.

Basic renovation, paint, replacing floors in living area and bathrooms, painting cabinets, decks, garage.  

That 1/8 inch of clearance protects the particleboard from the inevitable water on the floor..
