Starting out one question would be your commute if you want to live in Baltimore. 

Maybe looking into long distance BRRRR would be better.

I say there is probably a more affordable are within driving distance of where you are.

There's always zoom conferences, socially distanced meet-ups, or just "screw-it" meet-ups where we just go out to lunch one-on-one with masks. 

The distance from the house (150 miles) makes it another rough factor but I have some friends in the area. 

Given our cultural shift around remote learning and working, it'll be interested to see if more listings happen this fall, with parents less concerned about distance to school and distance to work.

I still have a 40 hr/wk 9 to 5 job with a lengthy commute (45 minutes eachway) and 3 young children at home.
