If you said, "$60,000/year" thats somewhere around 17 rentals producing full time, and no major expenses coming up... which is a bit far fetched, but for the sake of numbers alone, that is what it would be.

It is not a measure of profitability in any way and if you are using it to compare across different markets, it can be very misleading. 1% in our markets like Indianapolis and Kansas City will produce a much different bottom line that markets like Dallas that have very high property taxes and insurance rates.

My recommendation would be to place more value on the trainings and brokerages that focus on income producing activities - i.e. cold calling, script role playing, following up with leads, listing and buyer presentations, etc.
