My first rehab was a nightmare, leaky roof, termite damage, full gut in kitchen and both baths, rats in the attic with urine soaked insulation, new hvac, 4 - 40' tall trees to remove, a burst in the main line, not to mention roaches running up my arm.

Same goes for "unconscionable profits": it is only unconscionable when a court of law says so.And when it comes to "informed sellers", I encourage every homeowner I deal with to seek advice from the relevant expert (tax expert, RE lawyer, RE agent, psychic/medium, tea leaves, whomever they feel is working in their best interests) on what is best for them in the transaction.

As I drink my green tea and eat my dark chocolate, I smile and say "Cheers!"

By reading the tea leafs, again without being political, it seems as if the current tenant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave is setting the stage for such  disconnect through his cabinet appointments and potentially scaling back consumer protection and lending regs.

Crime rates starting to rise, and schools tend to be a bit worse in these areas.D/F: We would rather sleep under a tree in a C neighborhood than live here.
