I like to mountain bike.Road biking was fun for a short bit, but after working as a bike messenger while going to college, it made normal road biking feel REALLY boring and ruined it for me. I have never really like jogging, but it is so much more convenient, I have recently started and am kind of enjoying it. Although I must say today's jog in the 106 degree heat was brutal!

I loose interest very quickly in the gym and just can't seem to string together more than about 3 months at a time. I'm thinking about taking some organized group classes, though - like Les Mills Body Pump or some kind of boot camp.

I'm kind of a evening/weekend guy, but would like to try jogging in the mornings when we move to a better neighborhood.

What do you do to stay fit? Where do you fit it in your day.

I am a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo and testing soon for my 4th degree.

I also train in Krav Maga.I also do cardio and weights at the YMCA.

I usually work out 5 days a week and take off 2 days. Some days I do doubles with the YMCA and the karate class about 2 1/2 hours total.

What I like is with my training there is always something new and the class goes by fast training with others.

I used to run 10 miles at the gravel park. Not fast about an 8 minute pace per mile. Here in Georgia the weather can be a beast. It's hard to run when it is really cold or really hot outside.Optimal here is little to no wind about 75 with almost no humidity is perfect.

This is only a few months out of the year here.

I only run gravel compact at the park. The street sidewalks are bad on the joints and you inhale the car fumes. The treadmill at the gym is also bad impact on the knee joints.

So I run when I can outside and then mix in the other items. This way I have indoor and outdoor exercises. You don't have an excuse and can stay consistent without mattering what they weather is doing.
