If this were normal times I would suggest going to networking events and mingle to find the right fit but you can also go to FB groups that invest in the local area to see who's providing good feedback and would be a good RE team to speak with.Good luck!

As most of you know rent payments don’t show up on the credit report (usually) There is absolutely no reason why showing proof of on time or simply past normal monthly rent payments Showing a regular pattern of payment can’t be part of requirementsto rent to someone.

It is attractive for all these reasons if you love the heat. 3000-4000sqft homes are normal, in fact quite small in many neighborhoods.

@Jennifer Huynh it's hard to predict the future, but my best guess is that we are in a time of change so it's better to keep your options open by renting for a year, and then re-evaluate where the market is.In my mind, if everything returns to "normal" and the market keeps going up, it will only go up a little bit (let's say 3-5%).
