lead paint in a rental house

I am renting out a house that was built in 1977 in Texas. I do not know whether lead paint was used. The inspection report did not mention it anywhere (not sure if it is supposed to even mention it). Do I need to do anything? Do I have to test my rental house for lead paint? Do I still have to disclose it to the renter? any info will help.

You have to complete a Lead Based Paint Disclosure form. You are essentially saying you don't know of any lead paint and you don't have records pertaining to lead paint. Have the tenant initial and sign, hand them a packet on how to protect themselves from lead paint, and you're done.

Hundreds of rentals and I've never, ever seen a Landlord with knowledge of lead paint.
