Recovery from a market shift is a slow process and many may be forced to sell prior to a return to break even.Many plan for long term hold however life will often get in the way.

It's never the sort of thing where you have an utterly clear villain and an utterly clear victim -- it's the mechanisms of society that batter these people helplessly.The addicted, abusive husband who can't help himself from still wanting to see his kids and try to fix his marriage, but also can't fight his raging addictions without help he can't get from a system that just wants to process him as cheaply as possible.

If the market shifts downward or the renovation goes up, then there could be trouble. 

My company recently shifted gears disinfecting Covid-19 contaminated areas.  

Cost containment is prudent for companies when the business climate shifts, so I don't fault him for making these type of business decisions.
