How difficult will it be to move and begin a real estate career in a newish city? 

I want to get in to real estate investing and this would be my first time.

One wrong move, one wrong contractor, one wrong vendor…will erase any "benefit" one city has over another.

I’d suggest asking the local title company/real estate agents who the investors are.

It's been a real pain not to be able to speak to an actual person when I am sending thousands of dollars at a time. 

I have been trying to use Melio Payments (recommended by Fund N Grow) to use my AMEX credit cards to pay for real estate purchases.

I am just trying to get paid to send this deal to someone who would benefit from it.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
