I used to think it was an illness but I have learned that morning people are just a bit different and are often very nice, productive members of society.

In a recent debate, I quoted a source from the Casualty Actuarial Society that jokingly referred to beachfront property as a "pre-existing condition".

I am just finishing my required education for my Residential Builders license and will begin working on the education requirements for Real Estate Salesperson and possibly Limited Appraiser later on down the road.I currently am renting, and in about 2 years my finances will allow that to change, in the mean time, I have plenty of time to do some market research into a few cities I have in mind to move to and start buying houses to fix up and modernize to eventually rent or sell.

People here are from every segment of society and it reflects that.

Cheap rates and modern tech are great, but none of that matters if they can't actually get you to the closing table.

We live in a (mostly) free society where they can accept what you're offering or they can buy from someone else.

As society becomes more complex, larger groups such as corporations and private equity groups will benefit from regulatory capture and rent-seeking behavior. 

Look, society has to be paid for from somewhere.

Brick and mortar brokerages could soon be a thing of the past unless they develop a very specific niche. eXp is a solid fit for a lot of the modern day agents that often have multiple streams of revenue (investing, marketing, lead gen, recruiting, etc).
