I set about making criteria for myself, such as brick houses (we didn't want to paint every few years), warm locations (didn't want to have pipes break during vacancies), at least 3 beds and 2 baths, near an Air Force base and so forth. 

The Ozone gas is a little heavier than air so it goes downward so I am not sure how effective it would be on a two story house.

This is done with air flowing through system for 15 minutes to 30 minutes to see if there is any leak.

@Jordan Harrill the challenge you describe is common for new investors.

I paid 4.5k to upgrade meter from 80 to 150 amp and upgrade service panel so I could get central air and heat.

Heading to a friend's place I tripped and fell and in mid air my knee popped and all I could do was scream and pray.

So yes Airbnb is doing better than hotels and Air transport, but far far from being in good shape.
